REMEMBER WHY YOU STARTED

Whether you are in full time training, auditioning for work, currently in a job or dreaming of a career in the entertainment industry, you have to remember where it all started from and that is most likely from either going to dance classes as a child as your hobby, or singing along to your favourite pop star on the radio, or reenacting your favourite scene from your favourite animated movie or something similar. We are all likely to have fallen in love with our industry through it being our hobby.

Many times through your journey, there will be moments which make you question your decision to choose this path of life. You may have had a bad day at college and feel you aren’t progressing. You might have been to the last 20 auditions and finding you aren’t booking that gig you want. You might be in a job surrounded by drama and it takes away your joy for the work you are doing. Whatever it is, remember that this industry is a journey and something you started for the LOVE! Take some time every day to appreciate that your hobby is or will become your work. There is no better job in the world than one you love and when you find that, you have the best job in the world. And by remembering this, all those difficult moments along the way, just become hurdles and we should attack them by doing a Grand jeté over them as after all, love always wins!
